Mental Health Diagnosis & Treatment FAQs

Can you tell me more about medication management?

Medication management is a critical component of mental health treatment in Dr. Hart’s practice. As an experienced physician, she takes a thoughtful and evidence-based approach to prescribing and managing medications. Understanding that each individual’s response to medication can vary, she prioritizes personalized care plans that are closely monitored for effectiveness and safety. The goal is to optimize medication regimens to enhance mental health outcomes while minimizing side effects.

Our medication management services include comprehensive evaluations, ongoing monitoring, and adjustments as needed.

ADHD medications require in-person visits at minimum once yearly, more often for kids and people with more side effects.

We believe in a collaborative approach, where our patients are active participants in their treatment. This includes educating patients about their medications, discussing potential side effects, and ensuring that medications are integrated effectively into their overall treatment plan. At NW Regen in Portland, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and expert medication management to support our patients’ mental health journeys.

What do you mean by 'underlying' or 'root' issues?

Our approach in individual care is not just about treating symptoms; it’s about understanding the underlying causes of your concerns. By building a trusting and empathetic relationship with Dr. Hart, you can uncover deeper insights into your behaviors and thought patterns.

This supportive environment fosters self-awareness and empowers patients to implement lasting changes in their lives. NW Regen is committed to providing a safe, confidential, and nurturing setting for all our patients in and around Portland, OR, helping them to achieve their fullest potential.

Can you tell me more about Dr. Wood's Stellate Ganglion Block treatment?

Stellate Ganglion Blocks are precise, ultrasound-guided injections aimed at the sympathetic nerve bundle in the neck. It is a natural, safe methodology that NW Regen couples with compassionate care and a tailored, personal approach to helping patients.

These life-changing blocks are instrumental in managing a range of mental health conditions, including PTSD, PTSI, anxiety, panic attacks, and depression as well as pain from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and symptoms patients experience from Long COVID — by modulating the body’s stress response. Can you tell me more about Dr. Hibbitt's Ketamine-Assisted therapy?

This is a structured, medically guided approach to depression, trauma, and nervous system healing. At NW Regen, ketamine is not delivered as a one-time treatment—it’s part of a carefully guided therapeutic process designed to create meaningful and lasting change.

Led by Dr. William Hibbitts, this program integrates preparation, medical treatment, and post-session integration to help patients move beyond temporary relief and toward real transformation. *NW Regen highly recommends all patients in this program work with a licensed psychotherapist during treatment.
