Dermal Fillers

Reduce the signs of aging.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines, soften creases, and enhance facial contours. Used to reduce the signs of aging, dermal fillers address fine lines and deep wrinkles. They can also be used on hollow areas below the eyes and can help to minimize skin depressions and scars.

  • All-Natural Fillers:

Dr. Barr utilizes dermal fillers that contain hyaluronic acid, a natural compound that aids in the production of collagen and elastin. She also utilizes Aesthetic PRP and PRF (Platelet-Rich Plasma and Platelet-Rich Fibrin) as injectable ‘bio fillers’ which are ‘all natural’ fillers that utilize your own cells or tissues.

  • Bio-Filler Facelifts:

The Plasma Bio-Filler Facelift is an exciting aesthetic process that uses a dermal filler gel, which is autologous (taken from your own blood) and better accepted by your body than high-density hyaluronic acid fillers.  It’s 100% natural with no additives – it’s “all you” – your growth factors, your stem cells, and your exosomes!

Dr. Barr will custom treat your face under your eyes, cheeks, brow, and marionettes with custom injections of your bio-filler to volumize, contour, rejuvenate , and reduce fine lines and wrinkles!

What other aesthetics treatments are offered?

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are facial injection treatments that are used to help diminish wrinkles while restoring volume and fullness in the face. They are a popular option for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and making your skin look fuller, firmer, and younger. Fillers are used to add volume to deeper lines and wrinkles, such as the radial labial fold (NLF) or the marionette lines, cheeks, under eyes, and lips.

What is the advantage of bio fillers?

In medicine, autologous refers to a procedure that uses a patient’s own cells or tissues. When harvesting Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) or Platelet-Rich Fibrin from your system, we are able to utilize an “all-natural” substance as a filler.

The advantage of using a bio-filler (PRP/PRF) is that it’s all YOU!  There’s no overfilling with extra additives. Several layers can be rejuvenating using the same product. Because this is autologous, there is no risk of allergy or autoimmune disorders.

What ingedients are in dermal fillers?

The most commonly used dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a natural compound that aids in the production of collagen and elastin. It also gives your skin structure and plumpness, as well as a more hydrated look. Dermal fillers – Restylane, Juvederm, and Versa – contain some form of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs throughout the body and skin, with the highest concentrations in the fluids of the eyes and joints.

How long do the effects last?

Dermal filler injections are considered a minimally invasive procedure that require minimal downtime. Some dermal fillers can last for 6 to 12 months, while other dermal fillers can last up to 2 years. Touch up treatments can help with longevity.
