Botox and Neuromodulators
Get smoother looking skin.
What do botox and neuromodulators do?
Neuromodulators are wrinkle-relaxing injections of botulinum toxin – a.k.a. Botox Cosmetic and Dysport – used to treat wrinkles, frown lines, and crow’s feet.
Injecting a small amount of the neuromodulator directly into the underlying muscle causes it to relax, gradually smoothing out the appearance of overlying skin. Effects typically last about three months.

Will neuromodulators erase my facial lines?
A combination of factors can cause facial lines. It’s not just about the cellular changes that may occur, or reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals from the sun and the environment.
Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. Injecting these muscles with neuromodulators (wrinkle-relaxing botulinum toxins) help make facial lines temporarily look better.
How long do the effects last?
Neuromodulator injections start to work 5-10 days after treatment and the final effect is noticed 14 days after treatment. They have an average lifespan ranging from 3 to 4 months.
